Hybrid Model
Pantego Christian Academy’s hybrid program seeks to provide Christian education through a blended learning experience. This experience merges three days of teacher-led, on-campus instruction (Tues.-Thurs.) with two days of parent-facilitated off campus instruction (Mon. & Fri.).
The foundation of the PCA traditional and PCA hybrid programs seeks to prepare your child not only academically but most importantly, spiritually. By partnering with parents and churches, we set out to develop and reach the next generation for Christ and His purposes. We strive and commit to this spiritual development by :
- Integrating a Biblical worldview in every subject and activity at PCA
- Surrounding students with like-minded Christian friends and faculty while not isolating them from the world
- Providing Bible classes and weekly chapels for all students
- Offering a number of local service projects and mission opportunities
- Weekly Memory Verses
Top Reasons for Hybrid
- Parents play a more active role in their child’s education
- Students get more opportunities for real-world interaction during off-campus learning
- Flexibility to learning styles
- Cost effective approach to Christian education
- Scheduling flexibility
Hybrid Instruction and Process
Hybrid students will attend academic classes three days a week, taught by a skilled and certified educator. In turn, students will then work off campus, two days a week, on their prepared and planned “satellite instruction” to complete their weekly learning objectives. Satellite instruction lessons are created by the classroom teacher. Satellite instruction lessons will come with a cover sheet that gives parents objectives, lesson guidance, and activity instructions. This same information will be available within the parent’s portal via FACTS/ RenWeb.
In addition to their academic and elective experiences, our students participate in a variety of other activities, including: weekly chapel, musical programs, PCA Gives Back Day, on- and off-campus service opportunities, athletic and fun day events, field trips, and Operation Christmas Child.
This well-rounded approach provides students with both academic excellence and meaningful spiritual and social development.
