Head of School
Kathy Ferrell grew up in Ft. Worth and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Abilene Christian University and her Master’s Degree in Special Education from The University of North Texas. She received her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2015. She has been an educator in public and private school since 1995 and began her career teaching Special Education to students in 1st through 3rd grade and has extensive experience in Early Childhood. Dr. Ferrell started the Learning Lab program at PCA in 2011 and led the program as Learning Differences Coordinator. She has also served as Middle School Principal, Elementary Principal, and was named Head of School in January of 2020.
Dr. Ferrell and her husband were youth sponsors, VBS coordinators and Sunday School teachers for many years. They are currently members of Gospel City Church. She has been on several SLU trips with students, middle school trips to San Antonio and New Braunfels, and every high school grade mission trip. She and her husband Shane have been married for 25 years and have three children. Her two daughters are PCA alumni and her son is a current Junior at PCA.
