Coach McBroom is in his 9th year as the head baseball coach at PCA with a combined record of 162-93.  Pantego has reached the playoffs in baseball 8 out of 9 years under McBroom’s reign with back-to-back state championships in 2004 and 2005 and another appearance in the state game in 2007.  McBroom is a graduate of UT-Arlington where he lettered 3 years in baseball for the Mavericks.  He then went on to Tarleton State University as a graduate assistant coach while receiving his Master’s degree in Education.  McBroom’s previous coaching stints include assistant baseball coach at Mineral Wells and head baseball coach at Ft. Worth Eastern Hills. McBroom also coaches football at PCA and teaches elementary P.E.  Coach McBroom and his wife, Ashlie, have two children, Brett and Megan, who both attend PCA.
