Cheerleading

The purpose of the cheerleading program at PCA is to demonstrate in thought, word and deed, the attitude and actions of Christ through the gift of encouragement.

The philosophy of the PCA cheerleading program is to encourage our cheerleaders to manifest the following Biblical principle:  God has given each of them a unique talent, valuable only, in proportion to their desire to give Him the glory in its use.  Ultimately, the goal for the PCA cheerleader is to exemplify and express Christ-like qualities through the promotion of school spirit.

The PCA cheerleaders promote school spirit through encouraging our athletes on the sideline, entertaining the crowd at pep rallies and games, and involving themselves in community service opportunities.

Our competitive squad (see below), which consists of 7th – 12th grade, competes at competitions within the area.  They have earned titles at both Regional and National level each year.

The coaching staff has over 15 years experience.  They are certified through NCA and FCC.   The cheerleading coach is Cyndi Bishop and can be reached at cbishop@pantego.com if you have any questions.
