Important Summer Reading Requirements
The students going into the grade level need to earn the following points:
5th Grade- 550 points
4th Grade- 500 points
3rd Grade- 450 points
2nd Grade-400 points
1st Grade- 300 points
Point values vary depending on length of book and difficulty.
You should have received your child’s username and password the last week of school. New students will receive a username and password upon registration. The summer reading program will start Monday, May 31st.
Although we have set a minimum of points to earn reading grades for next year, you may want to set a personal goal for your child to encourage them further. Summer Reading requirements will count towards your student’s 1st 9 weeks Reading grade.
How to use Book Adventure:
Access the Book Adventure website – www.bookadventure.com
Select Book List to make a book selection.
Read the book.
Log onto www.bookadventure.com by entering your Username and Password.
Complete a quiz over the book.
Students will earn points for each quiz taken in which they score a 90% or better. Please keep in mind that this is a much larger selection and you need to decide what reading material is appropriate for your child. Students will not be able to read material that is below their reading level.
