After School Care
2008-2009 Information
(Only available for ages 4 through 5th grade.)
After-School Care is provided to create a safe, structured, relaxing, Christ-centered environment for your child. Some activities include singing, arts and crafts, story time, playtime (both indoor and outdoor), and group and individual games.
After-School Care is available for elementary age students, with the exception of students younger than 4 years old and ½ - day kindergarten students, on all regular school days from 2:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Financial policies:
1. If your child attends the program, you will be charged $4.00 per hour. A $100 deposit is needed to set up your account. This must be done before the beginning of the school year, either by paying online into your RenWeb account or by paying by cash or check at Back- to- School Night at the After-School Care table. You will need to keep your account balance at a minimum of $35.00 at all times, or you will be charged $8.00 per hour until your account shows the minimum balance. If your account balance reaches $0, your child will be unable to attend the program until your balance is raised to the $35.00 minimum. If your child is brought to the program when you have a $0, balance your child will be taken to the Elementary Principal’s office, and you or your emergency contact people will be called to come pick up your child.
2. Late fees will be assessed if your child is not picked up by 6:30 at a rate of $1.00 per minute past 6:30. Please make every effort to notify us if you know you are running late (Ext. 1115).
3. At the end of the school year, any credit balances will be refunded in full. If you have an outstanding balance, it must be paid in full before you will receive your child’s report card.
4. If someone who is not on the authorized list on the application form comes to pick up your child, only the parent/guardian of the child may call the school to provide the name of the alternate pick-up person. That person will then need to present a driver’s license for identification; otherwise, the child will not be released.
5. The administration of the Academy, the director of the After-School Program, and the workers serving under them shall have full discretion in the administration of appropriate discipline for the student, with the exception of corporal punishment. The program reserves the right to adopt rules and regulations from time to time, and all students enrolled shall comply fully with the rules and regulations then in force.
No After-School Care is provided for students registered for ½-day school programs or on early dismissal days.
No one will be allowed to pick up your child except those persons listed on your ASC enrollment form. Please keep your list updated.
